Inisightful Women Speakers
Dr. Marcia Reynolds PsyD, CSP insight this week:
One of my executive coaching clients was lamenting the loss of his best employee. He viewed this as a failure. I asked him if his employee went to a better position. He said, "Yes. She will be able to lead her own team of people, working together in one place to really be creative." I asked him if he were running a leadership factory instead of a software department, would he view his employee's move as a failure? He quickly saw the difference. Instead of a loss, he now has a victory under his belt. He had helped a woman take the next step toward leadership. Now instead of dreading the interviewing process, he had the opportunity of finding another employee he could nurture and grow.
It has been said that, "People join companies but leave managers" meaning that great employees stay with great managers. Yet truly great managers, or leaders, will be proud when their employees leave to move on to better things. The younger generation of employees expect development. Can your company be a leadership factory? That will be the measurement of success in the future.

Following Up in Business is vital !
One of my great women speakers specializes in showing by example how to creatively, and methodically live with greater integrity by following through with our intentions. Judy Garmaise has a program called: The Power of Follow Up; which teaches you the art and science of Following Up the right way to achieve success in business and in life.
Even after having 20 successful years in sales, I thought I understood the art of Follow Up and was humbled to learn a great deal from Judy's programs. After hearing Judy's program for the 10th time, I am still learning new techniques to apply to my business and share with others.
To me, Judy is like Tony Robbins, you can listen to her and always learn something new.
Enjoy your weekend!
